2013-2014
A special commission to create a sculptural door where a seemingly organic pattern is geometrically described by complex mathematical calculations known as Voronoi geometries, which are visible in many patterns across the mineral, animal, and botanical realms. A kind of closest-packing structure, these geometries are based on polygonal faces which share sides with each other to create this beautiful, hypnotizing pattern.
